Yeoman’s in the Fork

Sharing the collector’s passion for rare books and documents of American history
"Yeoman's just may be the finest rare bookstore in the South! " -Robert Hicks, New York Times Best-Selling Author of The Widow of the South.

Just like you, we collect rare books. We know that every title page, deckled edge, and colophon is slightly different, making each book and its journey through time incredibly unique. By collecting and sharing them, we are furthering the spread of knowledge and halting the destruction of these pieces of our past.

Also like you, we are fascinated by history. We have a particular passion for American history, so we specialize in works important to the United States, like the Declaration of Independence and early presidents. These documents can give us detailed insights into the patriots that shaped our country and the revolutionary ideas they brought to life.

So peruse our site like it’s your personal library. Search or browse our bookstore for rare books, journals, articles, documents, and maps. Brush up your collector’s knowledge in our research section. Even contact us about that 1776 New York edition of Thomas Paine’s Common Sense you’ve been tirelessly seeking, or any other buying, selling, and research questions we can help you with.

If you’d like to stay updated on industry news, our new arrivals, and events we’re hosting, subscribe to our blog.

We at Yeoman’s are simply caretakers of tangible pieces of American history, protecting and passing on these timeless relics. We know that inevitably the past is owned by the citizens of the world, people like you.

Happy hunting.
